What is a Pokemon Form?

Various Pokemon found on the server will only have one general form as well as a shiny varient of said pokemon. However there are a a fair few pokemon that have alternative forms which are significant for the use within battles as well as their appearance.

Regional Forms

One of the main different forms you'll see with pokemon is with Regional forms. First introduced with Pokemon Sun and Moon, regional pokemon take a much beloved pokemon and gives it's a twist from it's design, moves all the way to it's typing i.e. Vulpix is usually a fire type pokemon however Alolan Vulpix twists it up by making it a Ice type.

Here you can find a list of all the different regional forms based on the region they were first intoduced:

General Pokemon Forms

Alongside all of the Regional forms, there are pokemon that already have normal forms you can switch between compared to regionals where you can only have one or the other. How you change these forms varies depending on the pokemon. We will list all of the pokemon with forms below and how you change between them:

Legendary/Mythical Pokemon with Forms

It's important to note that with most of these legendaries that have multiple forms you will need to revert back to it's normal form if you wish to change it into a different form.

Groudon and Kyogre (AVAILABLE)

Despite mega's not being fully implemented on the server, you are still able to primal reverse both Groudon and Kyogre fairly easily.

How to change form:

For Primal Groudon you will need to give your Groudon a Flame Orb and then evolve it via the status menu.

For Primal Kyogre you will need to give your Kyogre a Heart of the Sea and then evolve it via the status menu.

Deoxys (AVAILABLE)

There are 4 main forms you can find for Deoxys each bringing it's own benefit. These forms are as follows:

Normal Form:

How to change form:

This is the general form you will get when you obtain Deoxys. If you have one of the other forms then you will need to give it a End Stone and evolve it via the status menu.

Attack Form:

How to change form:

You will need to give it a End Crystal and then evolve it via the status menu.

Defense Form:

How to change form:

You will need to give it a Shulker Shell and then evolve it via the status menu.

Speed Form:

How to change form:

You will need to give it a Chorus Fruit and then evolve it via the status menu. (THIS CURRENTLY ISN'T WORKING IN-GAME)

Dialga, Palkia and Giratina (AVAILABLE)

How to change form:

In order to change the creation trio into their Origin forms, you will need to give them each a Dawn Stone by right clicking on with with it and then evolve them via the status menu.

You can also give it a Dawn Stone to revert it back to it's Normal form.

Why change their forms?

Each form comes with it's own benefits and drawbacks so it's not just a re-skin since some builds might work better for origin form Dialga compared to it's base form when catching it since their stats have been shifted around.

Arceus (AVAILABLE)

How many forms are there?

There are 18 different forms for Arceus which players can chose between. Each of these forms correlate to a different typing of not only Arceus itself but the move Judgement.

How to change form:

You can easily change Arceus's form by giving one of the 18 different gems you can find on the server. You can purchase these from the server's pokemart for easy access to them.

Give the Arceus the gem of your choosing and then evolve it via the status menu.

Hoopa (AVAILABLE)

How to change form:

In order to change Hoopa between forms you will need to give it a Eye of Ender and then evolve it via the status menu. [THIS APPEARS TO BE BUGGED AS OF NOW]

Why change Hoopa's form into Unbound?

You'll want to change Hoopa's form so that you get increased power, different moves as well as changing Hoopa's typing from Psychic/Ghost in it's Confined form into Pyschic/Dark within it's Unbound form.

Zygarde (AVAILABLE)

For the moment, players will only be able to obtain either the 50% form or the 100% as shown in the photo above.

How to change form:

In order to change the 50% form into it's 100% form you'll first need to get it up to:

  1. Get it to Lvl 100

  2. Give it a Slime Block.

Doing so will let you evolve the Zygarde via the status menu.

Silvally (AVAILABLE)

How many forms are there?

Like with Arceus, there are 18 different forms for Silvally which players can chose between. Each of these forms correlate to a different typing from Fire to Dragon.

How to change form:

You can easily change Silvally's form by giving one of the 18 different gems you can find on the server. You can purchase these from the server's pokemart for easy access to them.

Give the Silvally the gem of your choosing and then evolve it via the status menu.

Zacian and Zamazenta (AVAILABLE)

How do I change their forms?

There are different items used to evolve each of the legends into their respective Resolute Forms.

  • To evolve Zacian into it's Resolute Form you need to give it a Iron Sword and evolve it via the Status Menu.

  • To evolve Zamazenta into it's Resolute Form you need to give it a Shield and evolve it via the Status Menu.

Why change their forms?

You'll want to change their forms so they can learn their signature moves alongside increased stats for both plus also giving both access to their steel typings.

Urshifu (AVAILABLE)

Unlike with most legendaries with forms where you can change between them easily, which Urshifu you obtain is determined with how you evolve it as you won't be able to revert it once you have chosen your respective Urshifu.

How do I evolve Kubfu into Urshifu?

Evolving Kubfu is fairly easy as you can choose one of two items to evolve it, however each of these items will determine which form you get.

  • Right click Kubfu with a Muscle Band in order to evolve it into it's Single Strike Form.

  • Right click Kubfu with a Expert Belt in order to evolve it into it's Rapid Strike Style.

What's the differences between the forms?

Single Strike Form will make your Urshifu into a Fighting/Dark Pokemon while Rapid Strike Form will make Urshify into a Fighting/Water Pokemon.

Each form comes with it's own benefits from strengths/weaknesses in battles as well as it's own signature move so make sure you choose the right form for you as once you have evolved it, you unfortunately won't be able to change it to the alternative form.

Ogerpon (AVAILABLE)

There are 4 main forms you can find for Ogerpon each bringing it's own benefit. These forms are as follows:

Teal Mask:

How to change form:

This is the general form you will get when you obtain Ogerpon. If you have one of the other forms then you will need to give it a Cyan Dye and evolve it via the status menu.

Benefits for this form?

Unlike it's other forms, this is a base Grass type and also has the ability Defiant.

Wellspring Mask:

How to change form:

You will need to give it a Blue Dye and then evolve it via the status menu while it's within it's Teal Mask form

Hearthflame Mask:

The typing of Ogerpon will change from Grass to Grass/Rock and gains the Sturdy ability.

Normal Pokemon with Forms

Alongside Legendaries, general pokemon will also have different forms which range from just from their looks all the way to changing their stats, moves and so on within the game. Here is a list of them all here:

Unown

Unown is special in that it has 28 different forms you can find on the server with each based on a different alphabet character as well as a exclamation mark and a question mark.

How do I find a specific form?

Each of these forms spawns randomly so there's no real way for you to farm for one particular form. You might find the one you want right away, or it could take you 100+. Are you willing to collect them all?

Castform

Currently Castform isn't fully implemented on the server so there's no way to get any form including the base form.

Burmy and Wormadam

Currently Burmy and Wormadam isn't fully implemented on the server so there's no way to get any form of them.

Cherrim

Currently Cherrim isn't fully implemented on the server so there's no way to get any form including the base form.

Shellos and Gastrodon

The differences between these forms of Shellos and Gastrodon are just purely cosmetic.

How do I find each form?

In order to find West Sea forms of Shellos and Gastrodon you'll want to be looking within Cold Oceans and Frozen Oceans via fishing or on the seafloor as well as uncommon spawns within Beaches.

In order to find East Sea forms of Shellos and Gastrodon you'll want to be looking within Lukewarm Oceans and Warm Oceans via fishing or on the seafloor as well as uncommon spawns within Beaches.

Rotom

How to change form?

Changing form for Rotom is very easy! All you need to do is craft or purchase a Data Monitor and then while holding it right click onto your Rotom in the wild multiple times for the ability to evolve it into your Rotom form of choice.

Why change Rotom's form?

Each rotom form outside of the base form comes with a brand new typing as well as different moves and upgraded stats. Pick the rotom that best fits your team!

Basculin and Basculegion

Darmanitan

How do I change form?

Unfortunately there is no current way to change Darmanitan's form on the server for either regional form into it's Zen Mode form.

Deerling and Sawsbuck

Greninja

How do I change form?

Unfortunately there is no current way to change Greninja's form on the server despite having access to Battle Bond which would change it's form elsewhere.

Vivillon

There is currently 23 different forms of Vivillon on the server, which are all just purely cosmetic.

How do I get a particular form?

Which form you would like to get will determine on what biome you're currently in when either evolving Spewpa or finding a Vivillon spawn naturally. There are certain forms that are un-available to obtain by normal means.

Flabebe, Floette and Florges

Furfrou

Currently Furfrou isn't fully implemented on the server so there's no way to get any form including the base form.

Meowstic

Meowstic has two forms that are based on it's gender. In the photo shown above you can see the male form on the left and the female form on the right. There is no way to change between the forms with a single Meowstic so if you want a certain form you have to hunt for the right gender.

Aegislash

Oricorio

Currently Furfrou isn't fully implemented on the server so there's no way to get any form of Oricorio.

Lycanroc

Wishiwashi

Minior

Currently there is no way for players to change their Miniors form from the normal form into the shields down form despite the fact it's Shields Down Ability is working in-game.

Toxtricity

In order to get each form of Toxtricity you need to evolve it with the corresponding Nature for each form.

For Amped Toxtricity you'll need one of the following natures:

  • Hardy

  • Brave

  • Adamant

  • Naughty

  • Docile

  • Impish

  • Lax

  • Hasty

  • Jolly

  • Naive

  • Rash

  • Sassy

  • Quirky

For Low Key Toxtricity you'll need one of the following natures:

  • Lonely

  • Bold

  • Relaxed

  • Timid

  • Serious

  • Modest

  • Mild

  • Quiet

  • Bashful

  • Calm

  • Gentle

  • Careful

Once you have leveled your Toxel up to Lvl 30 you can then evolve it to the Toxtricity corresponding to the nature you have within the status menu.

Sinistea and Polteageist

Alcremie

There are a fair few different forms of Alcremie you can obtain, each of which you have to evolve into from Milcery.

How to evolve Milcery

In order to evolve Milcery into Alcremie you'll need to give it a sweet to hold. The full list of sweets include:

  • Strawberry Sweet

  • Love Sweet

  • Berry Sweet

  • Clover Sweet

  • Flower Sweet

  • Start Sweet

  • Ribbon Sweet

Now the time of day does also pay a factor into what style you might end up with. Once your milcery has a sweet all you need to do is go into the status menu and evolve it into the form you wish it to be.

Unfortunately once you have evolved your Milcery there is no way to change it's form into a different one so make sure to choose wisely.

Eiscue

Currently there is no way for players to change their Eiscue from Ice Face form into Noice Face form despite the fact it's Ice Face Ability is working in-game.

Indeedee

Indeedee has two forms that are based on it's gender. In the photo shown above you can see the female form on the left and the male form on the right. There is no way to change between the forms with a single Indeedee so if you want a certain form you have to hunt for the right gender.

Morpeko

Currently there is no way for players to change their Morpeko from Full Belly form into Hangry Mode form despite the fact it's Hunger Switch Ability is working in-game.

Ursaluna

Oinkologne

Oinkologne has two forms that are based on it's gender. In the photo shown above you can see the male form on the left and the female form on the right. There is no way to change between the forms with a single Oinkologne so if you want a certain form you have to hunt for the right gender.

Maushold

Squawkabilly

Each form of Squawkabilly is available on the game, but they all spawn in the same locations so you'll have to be lucky to find one particular one if you want on particular form. Unlike other forms, there is no certain benefit to one form compared to another.

Palafin

Unfortunately there is currently no way for players to turn Palafin into it's Hero form on the server as of yet.

Tatsugiri

Each form of Tatsugiri is available on the game, but they all spawn in the same locations so you'll have to be lucky to find one particular one if you want either it's Stretchy, Droopy or Curly forms.

Benefits to each form

Outside of different textures, each form comes with their own benefit:

  • Droopy Form will boost Defense Stat when using the move Order Up

  • Curly Form will boost Attack Stat when using the move Order Up

  • Stretchy Form will boost Speed Stat when using the move Order Up

Dudunsparce

Gimmighoul and Gholdengo

Both the Roaming and Chests forms spawn in the same place so you'll have to get lucky to find which version you want, with the Roaming version being a common spawn compared to the chest spawn which is a rare form.

You'll find Gimmighoul's within ruins found throughout the wilds so be sure to keep an eye out for them since they're a great place to earn more coins which you'll need to evolve Gimmighoul into Gholdengo with a whopping 999 relic coins needed.

Spoiler but if you give Gimmighoul 256 netherite scraps alongside all of the coins you can actually evolve it into a special Netherite form of Gholdengo.

Poltchageist and Sinistcha

Custom Forms

Outside of the normal and legendary forms you can find on the server, you'll also be able to find other custom forms of pokemon in the wild. You can find out more about custom pokemon via the Official Cobblemon Wiki here:
