Downloading the launcher is incredibly easy, and there is two ways you can actually get access to it. You can either download it directly from the website via this link: <https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/download>

Or alternatively you can download it through the Xbox App / Microsoft Store: \[<https://www.microsoft.com/store/productId/9PGW18NPBZV5>]

<figure><img src="/files/DB0ajRABeRbTdYrhkrOJ" alt="" width="563"><figcaption><p>Ex of Minecraft Launcher on Xbox App</p></figcaption></figure>

From there all you need to do is log into your Minecraft/Microsoft account to log into the launcher. This is the **same log-in** used for any other supported Minecraft launcher like Modrinth or Curseforge.

## Installing Neoforge

Now that you have the Launcher installed, the next step is to download the Neoforge Launcher which will act as a profile for you to chose when you want to run mods. You can **download neoforge from the same link you will getting the Pixelmon mod from**: <https://reforged.gg/en>

<figure><img src="/files/cztLFlXBSbElIYEpjyYN" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Once you have opened the website, you will need to click on the **1.21 (Neoforge 21.1.200)** option which will download the Neoforge Launcher directly to your computer.&#x20;

In this launcher you want to make sure you choose the **Install Client** option and select proceed in which it'll start the process of creating thee profile for you on the launcher.

<figure><img src="/files/6HBysmYGAiOWdz5snFKv" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

If you had no issues with installing it, you should get a message like this:

<figure><img src="/files/3FY6ep4l6COFYAJjzjzD" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

From there make sure you have **Create Profile ticked** and then you can choose the **Install** option. From there you can go ahead and open your **Minecraft Launcher** and you should see it state **Neoforge Loader** within the launcher as shown in the screenshot below:

<figure><img src="/files/mM6d81NvDejoS6Y4lnfm" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

You can now click on **Play** which will bring up a warning. You can **confirm that you understand the risks** and this will start installing everything needed for that version of Minecraft. It will then launch Minecraft and if you have done everything right up to this point, **it will state the version of Minecraft as well as Neoforge in the bottom left of the Minecraft game**.

<figure><img src="/files/tE7hhSlYWj6KKjnpV7bF" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

You can now close down Minecraft, and we go ahead and start downloading the Pixelmon Mod.

## Installing Pixelmon Mod

Now that you have the Launcher and Neoforge installed, the next step is to download the **official Pixelmon mod** via the same link: <https://reforged.gg/en>

If you are on the correct page, it should be similar as to what is shown below. From there you want to click on the big green **Download 9.3.16 (RECOMMENDED)** button shown on the left side of the page.

<figure><img src="/files/QEPu7uAC9furwCunoVP9" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

From there you will be taken to a adfoc.us website where all you need to do is click **Skip** at the top right of the page which should automatically download the mod for you. You can see what this button looks like below:

<figure><img src="/files/HgqTtyrrlop84H0PZ4Zv" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Now that you have the Pixelmon Mod, you will want to head back into the Minecraft Launcher. Jump over to Installations and in the Neoforge Profile created you want to click onto the Folder symbol which will open the Installations Folder.

<figure><img src="/files/G67l41D0fZB4OgEUcQK0" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Now that you are within your Installations Folder, you want to open the **Mods** folder and place both the **Pixelmon Mod** you downloaded into there. Your folder should look as shown below:

<figure><img src="/files/G6LmAsbyRzMcxSZl8kkB" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

You can add anymore compatible mods you wish into this folder. Please be aware that **using any exploitable mods on the server will result in a permanent ban**.

## Play Pixelmon

Now that you have both Neoforge and Pixelmon installed, the only thing you need to start doing now is playing Pixelmon. Press Play on the Minecraft Launcher to load Minecraft and click onto the Multiplayer button.&#x20;

<figure><img src="/files/rP98f54lF5caJ27D6SQn" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

From there, click onto Add Server, and enter the IP `pixelmon.mmorealms.gg` into the Server Address bar and then make sure Server Resource Packs is on Prompt which will download the servers resource pack instantly when joining which is needed for playing on the server. If you have done it correct, your screen should show as follows:

<figure><img src="/files/qRpIoeULSSg8vmiCHus0" alt="" width="397"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Now you click on Done which will bring up the Server within the server list. You can hover over the logo and click the **Play symbol** or **double click** to start loading into the MMO Realms server!

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://wiki.mmorealms.gg/pixelmon-wiki/how-to-install-pixelmon-modrinth-and-curseforge/minecraft-launcher.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
