### ✨What are Shinies? ✨

<mark style="color:orange;">**Shiny Pokemon**</mark> are different variations of Pokemon that will have a different colour palette compared to it's normal form. While some of these are very mild with their colour changes, most are vastly different and arguably look better than the normal form. Unfortunately Shiny Pokemon are a lot harder to obtain in most of the Pokemon games and this is the same within Pixelmon.

### ✨How can I find shinies on the server?✨

The current rate of finding shines on the server is 1/4096 which means the chances of you finding a shiny pokemon within the wild is incredibly low.

As of now **there is no main way for you increase your odds on finding shinies** on the server while it's in BETA but **we are planning to introduce more way**s for players to farm shinies on the server from adding a **shiny charm** for Pokedex completion all the way to having **catch combos** for easiness of farming a specific Pokemon.

### ✨Are there other methods to obtaining shinies?✨

There are a couple different ways for players to earn shinies on the server which I will list all of the main ways players can obtain them currently:

#### Discord Linking

This is a easy way for you to obtain a free shiny on the server and all you need is a Discord account. If you go through the process of linking your Discord account with your in-game account within our server you'll be able to redeem a kit for a free random shiny in-game. For more about linking to discord please click [HERE](#discord-linking).

#### Pokedex Rewards

This is another fairly easy way to obtain shinies on the server, which also includes legendaries, mythicals and ultra beasts. For each 10% of the Pokedex you complete you'll have a chance to claim some rewards with a few of the tiers including some form of Shiny Pokemon you can obtain. These can also include keys which is another way for players to get shinies. You can access pokedex rewards via `/pokedexrewards`

#### Crates

You can use crate keys (*purchasable via `/crates` with gems or unlocking them in other means like Pokedex Rewards*) to open up certain crates which include chances of obtaining random shinies on the server including some legendaries. #### Auction House

You can use the auction house via `/ah` to see if any players are currently selling any Shiny Pokemon on the server for X amount of pokecoins. If you have the asking price for them you can go ahead and purchase it to obtain that shiny.

#### Ranks

This is another way for players to obtain Shinies on the server, though it is only available through our Gems Store, as ranks cannot be acquired through any other means outside of giveaways and events. Depending on the rank you select, you may receive a random Shiny, and some ranks even include Legendary or Mythical Pokémon. Ranks can be purchased using **`/store`**, with Gems available for purchase [HERE:](here:https://store.mmorealms.gg/category/gems)

#### Playtime Rewards <a href="#playtime-rewards" id="playtime-rewards"></a>

You'll be able to earn some Shinies for reaching specific Playtime Milestones within Playtime Rewards. The higher your active playtime is, the more rewards you'll gain access to. Start accessing Playtime Rewards via `/playtime`.

#### Daily (Login) Rewards <a href="#daily-login-rewards" id="daily-login-rewards"></a>

You'll be able to earn some rewards for specific daily milestones reached. Please be aware that if you missing logging onto the server for a day, then your streak will revert back to Day 1. Start accessing Daily Rewards via `/daily`.

#### Wondertrade <a href="#wondertrade" id="wondertrade"></a>

Thewre will be a small chance you can pull a shiny from Wondertrade on the server, assuming there is Shinies within the pool. This is based on luck, and what others have currently placed within the pool. Once a week it resets bringing a small chance for System Generated shinies to be pushed in.

Use `/wt` to start a Wondertrading and `/wt pool` to view the current pool.

**NOTE:** Wondertraded Pokemon cannot be recovered.
