This guide covers everything you need to know about changing your Minecraft username. Whether you’re doing it by choice or need to update it to play on the server as told by a member of the staff team. It also explains why certain usernames aren’t allowed, helping everyone better understand the rules we in place on the server.
It's worth noting that your name change will be reflected on any other server you join after you have updated it.
How to Change Username
To change your username, head to the official Minecraft website and log in using your current account. You can access it using the link below:
From there, you’ll see a Minecraft: Java section with an option labelled Change Profile Name. Select this option to update your username.
You'll be taken to a brand new page where you can input a brand new name and, assuming that name hasn't already been taken, once submitted you will have the brand new username the next time you log in.
It’s worth keeping in mind that once you change your username, you won’t be able to change it again for 30 days. Because of this, make sure your new name follows the server rules as choosing an inappropriate username could result in a ban until you’re able to change it again.
Why don't we allow certain usernames?
Our server is PG-13 meaning, while we do allow some certain language on the server, we have to implement some limits to this for the safety of all players involved. Due to this any form of inappropriate name, regardless if it's meant to be inappropriate or not, will also be included with this.
We do not provide nicknames for players with inappropriate usernames since their official username remains visible to others in the tab list, auction house listings, private messages and other similar areas.
