### What is a Pokemon Form?

Various Pokemon found on the server will only have one general form as well as a shiny varient of said pokemon. However there are a a fair few pokemon that have alternative forms which are significant for the use within battles as well as their appearance.

### Regional Forms

One of the main different forms you'll see with pokemon is with Regional forms. First introduced with Pokemon Sun and Moon, regional pokemon take a much beloved pokemon and gives it's a twist from it's design, moves all the way to it's typing i.e. Vulpix is usually a fire type pokemon however Alolan Vulpix twists it up by making it a Ice type.

Here you can find a **list of all the different regional forms** based on the region they were first intoduced:

<table data-card-size="large" data-view="cards"><thead><tr><th></th><th data-hidden data-card-target data-type="content-ref"></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>🌴 <strong>Regional Forms</strong></td><td><a href="pokemon-forms-and-how-to-change-them/regional-forms">regional-forms</a></td></tr></tbody></table>

### General Pokemon Forms

Alongside all of the Regional forms, there are pokemon that already have normal forms you can switch between compared to regionals where you can only have one or the other. How you change these forms varies depending on the pokemon. We will list all of the pokemon with forms below and how you change between them:

#### Mega Pokemon

There is a lot of Pokemon and Legendaries that have Mega Forms which are obtainable on the server. To learn more about them you can read our guide here which includes every Mega Pokemon obtainable on the server:

Unlike with most legendaries with forms where you can change between them easily, which Urshifu you obtain is determined with how you evolve it as you won't be able to revert it once you have chosen your respective Urshifu.

**How do I evolve Kubfu into Urshifu?**

Evolving Kubfu is fairly easy as you can choose one of two items to evolve it, however each of these items will determine which form you get.

* Right click Kubfu with a **Muscle Band** in order to evolve it into it's **Single Strike Form**.
* Right click Kubfu with a **Expert Belt** in order to evolve it into it's **Rapid Strike Style**.

<figure><img src="https://1136757732-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FaGML4Zd5tMQdGofzRFUX%2Fuploads%2FA81aFtLgq3EQkNkxkkna%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=c1083f27-d3c0-48d8-b364-3a22475db4e8" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

**What's the differences between the forms?**

**Single Strike Form** will make your Urshifu into a **Fighting/Dark** Pokemon while **Rapid Strike Form** will make Urshify into a **Fighting/Water** Pokemon.&#x20;

Each form comes with it's own benefits from strengths/weaknesses in battles as well as it's own signature move so make sure you choose the right form for you as once you have evolved it, you unfortunately won't be able to change it to the alternative form.&#x20;

Unlike with other Pokemon that you can easily change forms between, Furfrou works differently in that you don't actually evolve it since all you need is Shears and a Dye.

**How to change form?**

You will need a **Shear** and a **Dye** of Choice. From there all you need to do is `Shift + Right Click` while holding the dye and there will be a option for you to Change Cosmetic Item which will give the furfrou the dye in your hand.

<div align="center"><figure><img src="https://1136757732-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FaGML4Zd5tMQdGofzRFUX%2Fuploads%2FddVl6zl83dh0pwMniZYQ%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=b9bd300f-8d45-40d4-87bd-71437cdf3d94" alt="" width="299"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

After this all you need to do is `Right Click` it with the **Shears** and you'll get a animation of it changing form in which once complete, you'll have the different cut for Furfrou.

<figure><img src="https://1136757732-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FaGML4Zd5tMQdGofzRFUX%2Fuploads%2FvpPHopJkCyX3A2K74fYo%2Fimage.png?alt=media&#x26;token=b1df3b8b-2371-4978-bcff-04dfe1bf436e" alt="" width="269"><figcaption><p>Sheering Animation</p></figcaption></figure>

There is no benefit for changing the forms of Furfrou so it's only cosmetic that will be changing with your Furfrou.

Here you can find a **list of all the different cuts for Furfrou** and the Dye's needed for them:

Like with Sinistea and Polteageist, there is **no way to tell the differences** between the forms despite the fact you can obtain the **Masterpiece Teacup** (*Artisan Form*) and **Unremarkable Teacup** (*Counterfeit Form*) which is needed to evolve Poltchageist into it's respective forms.
